Anne Christine was born in the Mater Hospital Waratah on 9th July 1953. She was followed by her twin sister Sue 5 minutes later. Anna is the eldest girl of seven children born to Kevin and Marge Moran. Her brothers and sisters are Stephen, Sue, Julie, Tony, Kate and Gail.Anne and Sue are not identical twins but rather mirror image twins.Anne was educated at St Puis X primary school at Windale, then at St Mary`s High School Gateshead, were she excelled in her studies and made school captain, which she held for a couple of years. When she left school, she decided on a nursing career and trained at the hospital she was born in,there she met her long time friend Helen.Anna(as she loved to be called)loved her sport and excelled at each and everyone(hockey, basketball, athletics, water skiing and rifle shooting).Anna loved animals, her favourites being horses and cats. She was a pony club instructor and won the hearts of every child she came in contact with.Anna also loved playing the piano and she passed this on to others by teaching them to play.Anna completed a Certificate in Horse Managment,Acoounting and Computers. She could be bit of a " bossy boots" at times and firmly believed a job worth doing was worth doing properly.Eventually Anna met and married Graham Davie and on the 24th March 1973 their son John was born.Un fortunately the marriage broke down and they went their seperate ways. After a period of time,Anna brought a caravan and moved her and john to Redhead. This was close to Belmont Hospital where Anna resumed nursing part time. Time passed and Anna was introduced to Garrie by her cousin Terrie. This relationship blossomed and they were married on John`s birthday,24th March 1979. On the 7th September 1980-which was Fathers Day- Anna and Garrie became proud parents of a beautiful baby girl Sherrie. She was the first redhead in the family. Sherrie and John were very precious to Anna.Anna meant the world to Sherie.Although Anna and Sherrie lived far apart, she was always there for her daughter. Here is a poem that Sherrie feels reflects what Anna and her felt for each other-- 'when mothers and daughters are caring and close, they bring so much joy to each other, they listen with love, they speak from the heart, they`re more than just daughter and mother.Their lives are enriched in such beautiful ways, and the warmth of their closeness extends beyond their relationship into the gladness of sharing and caring as freinds" Anna and Garrie`s roles were reversed after Garrie suffered injuries in a mining accident, which put him out of the workforce.Anna became the breadwinner and Garrie became "MR Mom"- a job reversal that both of them excelled at- especially for Garrie as his cooking skills are second to none. As an employee,Anna gave 110%.Some of the positions were that of Post Mistress at Georgetown and Elermore Vale and because of her medical training she was employed with an Ophthalmologist. Her current employment was with Freeman`s Insurance Assessors in Goffs Harbour as an Administration Manager. When Sherrie met her partner,Grahame,Anna welcomed him into the family. She treated him and thought of him as her own.Anna was there for the birth of her first grandchild,Ayden, on the 24th November 2006.She was a tower of strength for both Sherrie and Grahame during and after his birth.Anna thought the world of Ayden and he always would bring a smile to her face. How do you do justice to this special lady, who was beautiful on the outside and twice as beautiful on the inside where it counts.Anna gave off this lovely presec\nce that people related to. As a daughter she was most loving, caring and extremely supportive to both her parents and family as well as a loving, supportive daughter-in-law to Margaret,Eric and families. This from her Mum and Dad 'Anna you enriched our lives in so many ways and we will miss you so very much. There is a small quotation that is appropriate to you" "We cannot be saddened by the loss of one loved so dearly without remembering the love we share.A greater loss would have been not having in our lives at all" We say a sad farewell to you,our dearest one and we pray that the Lord will keep you in his tender loving care until we meet again. We love you Anna
